How To Be A Tool For God?
How To Start Right

The process of becoming a mighty vessel for God is
understanding the source of your existence.  God has
established in his Word the steps to live a powerful and strong
Christian walk through His strength.  There are
too many
Christians who try to serve God in their own strength and
ability.  This is not what God has asked of us and we must
understand His view of this process.

Step 1-God is in complete control of every
part of your life!

So many struggle with the first step, which requires a
complete surrender of everything to God.  Nothing will change
unless this occurs.  We as human beings can try to live a
moral and good life, yet that will not change the inner nature or
the flesh which desires to sin.  The following passages will
help you to understand the response we must make to God,
through His Son Jesus Christ.   Failure of understanding this
first key point will hinder and not allow the following steps to
occur in a powerful spiritual walk with God.

Galatians 2:20

20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who
live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the
flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
Himself up for me."

Paul states here a very important fact in our walk with God,
we must die to self and even the existence of our selfish
desires.  Paul uses the example of the Cross of Christ to help
us visualize that he (Paul) died on the cross as well, in a
spiritual way.  Paul's sin and everyone who believes in Christ
has their sinful life nailed to the cross.  Paul's sin is not the
only thing found on the Cross of Christ, but his life (Paul's life)
as well.  Paul states very clearly here that he has died to the
old ways and the flesh, his sinful life.  Paul now longer lives
the way he use to, but allows Jesus Christ to live through him.
Christ MUST live through us, for the world needs to only see
Him through us.  If the world sees us, then we have not
completely died to self.  A dead person does not talk, but God
will speak through a mouth that is yielded to Him.  A dead
person does not eat, but God will feed us spiritually through
His Word.  A dead person does not move, but God will move
through us if surrender to Him completely.

TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW!

More will be added later, but for now seek Him about your
surrendered life and if there are areas that you have not given
up.  See if there might be some area that needs to be nailed to
the Cross to allow Christ to live through you.  Jesus will
change the world by living through you as a powerful witness
for Him.  Will you yield your desires and plans to allow His
perfect Will to come about?  Surrendering all is the only way
this can happen!
