| Why Does Satan Seem To Win In Certain Battles? |
Satan is a master at getting us to doubt God's Word. Why do you
think so many attacks of the enemy are aimed at you not reading
your Bible and praying? Satan knows if you begin to understand
what happened two thousand years ago, you WILL enforce the
COMPLETE VICTORY purchased on the Cross of Christ.

The example we are to follow is CHRIST and HIM alone. NO ONE
else lived a sinless life. Let's take a look at the way Jesus defeated
Satan when He was attacked in the wilderness.
Matthew Chapter 4:1-11(NAS)
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted by the devil.
The first step Jesus did was to be led by the Spirit of God. We
will not defeat Satan in OUR OWN LEADING (meaning ourselves).
Most believers follow their own plans and thinking, which leads
them into trouble. However, this example shows sometimes
(yes, that is what I said) the Holy Spirit will direct you to go into
the wilderness. This does not mean God wants you to fail or be
tempted. What it does mean is that trials and tests are made by
God to build your faith in what His Word says and in Him.
Can you think of a time when God led you into the wilderness
(remember God led you, not yourself leading you into the
wilderness)?
